Three Printcart plugins, one store: how it works and your options
Each Printcart plugin is a complete solution for one product niche, and one store connects one Printcart solution. Stores that sell several kinds of print products can combine solutions in an integration project, build the integration with their own developers through the API, or keep a single solution.

Why one store connects one solution
Printcart Store covers general print and print-on-demand stores on WordPress and WooCommerce. Printcart Canvas covers stores that sell canvas prints. A Photobook plugin exists for photo books, and its public page is coming. Each one brings its own product setup, design button, pricing and order sync for its niche.
Installing a second Printcart plugin next to the first would give buyers two different design experiences and run two order pipelines side by side, which risks duplicate or inconsistent production data. You can still install a second plugin and open its settings. The explanation appears when you connect it to your Printcart store.
How a combined setup works
In a Connect project the store has one connection to Printcart and one place that sends orders. Every order line is tagged with the solution that handles it, so the right tool opens for each product and production receives one consistent order.
The Printcart team builds the buyer experience on your own theme, with one design entry point per product. Your current solution keeps working while the project is scoped, and your orders are not affected.
Two parallel order flows compared with one flow through Connect
Two plugins installed side by side
- Each plugin keeps its own connection to Printcart.
- Each plugin sends the order on its own.
- The same order can arrive twice, with different lines.
One flow through Connect
- One connection links the store to Printcart.
- One place sends each order with every line.
- Each line is tagged with the solution that handles it.
What a Connect project needs
Before work starts, the project needs the following.
- The Printcart Advanced plan or above, active for as long as several solutions run on the store.
- The multi-solution mode switched on for your store by the Printcart team. A plugin cannot switch it on by itself.
- Current versions of the Printcart plugins that take part.
- A short discovery of your products and which solution handles each, your theme and page builder, other plugins, order volume and any system that reads orders, such as ERP, accounting or MIS.
- A staging site where possible, so the work is tested before it reaches your live store.
Each project is quoted for the store. Pricing is not published on this page.
Your three options
Printcart builds it for you
The main route for stores with a budget for a custom upgrade. The Printcart team combines the solutions on your theme and keeps the setup working when a plugin is updated. Needs the Advanced plan or above, and the project is quoted for the store.
Start a projectYour developers build it through the API
If you have your own developers or another agency, they integrate through the Printcart REST API and webhooks. This needs the Advanced or Enterprise plan. Printcart provides the API documentation and does not build the integration for you in this option.
Read the API documentationKeep one solution
For smaller stores, stay with one Printcart solution, usually Printcart Store, or change which solution is your main one. Nothing else is needed.

Questions about running several plugins
- Can I install a second Printcart plugin?
- Yes. You can install it and open its settings. When you connect it to your Printcart store you see an explanation of why each store connects one solution, with a link to Printcart Connect.
- Will my orders be affected while a project is scoped?
- No. Your current Printcart solution keeps working and your orders keep flowing while the project is scoped.
- Which plan do I need?
- A Connect project that runs several solutions needs the Printcart Advanced plan or above. If your own developers build the integration through the API, the Advanced or Enterprise plan applies.
- Can my own developers build it?
- Yes, through the Printcart REST API and webhooks. The documentation covers authentication, the path from product to print-ready PDF and webhooks.
